The only time I've seen mobile check-ins called separately is on HF-SSB or 2M-FM simplex where there is a chance the mobile station won't be heard due to weak signals. For me, the repeater equalizes everyone out to the same signal level(or close to it) and I don't see the any other need to separate them out.
